money--yikes

I have been struggling with my decision to put my things in a store in stillwater, I think i will just take my things out and put them up on ETSY.   I will have re-assess my money situation.  The gas and grocery costs are putting some of my art stuff on the back burner.   I have been sewing up a storm and am fixing to send a new garment to altered couture.

grief

Well, sorry for the delay in writing.  I have had a busy week.  My hubby lost his father on Thursday May 29th and we flew down to Texas on Friday the 30th.  The funeral was nice and it was very hot, about a 40 degree difference between here and there.  Herb lived a full life and we found out the the Mayfield brothers have a my space page.  I was, however, going through sewing machine withdrawal.  so, off to the studio

it's a beautiful day

Since it is so lovely outside, I am going to go for a bike ride with my son.  I homeschool him and this will be out gym for today.  I have been sewing like a nut the last couple of days trying to get ready for a trunk show in stillwater and keep up with the B & M stores that have my children's clothing.  I also need to get some collage crosses done for gifts.  I am glad to be busy, but I always work more productively when I have a goal, say, a show etc..  I am not very good about promoting myself, but, i feel like I have enough to keep me busy right now.

Moving into the 21st Century

I am excited because I have been asked to make some darling booties for Nicole at Alexander Henry fabrics.  She is one of the designers there and I am quite flattered she has ordered a couple of pairs from me.
